How did this come to our attention?

Upper Hand Organization was born from a personal mission that began six years ago. What started as one person’s effort to bring relief and hope to struggling families has grown into a community-driven movement across Chitral and other regions of Pakistan.

Our mission is simple: to lift people up when life brings them down.
We work on two levels — immediate relief and long-term development.

 

Through the Upper Hand Organization, we are committed to several causes: assisting those in need, providing healthcare, supporting deserving students, aiding disaster victims, helping people achieve financial independence, and constructing mosques, madrasas, and homes for the poor.

We envision a future where every individual has the opportunity to live with dignity and hope.

Providing clean and safe drinking water to remote areas of Chitral has always been one of our main goals. We have completed forty-three water projects and are working on more to ensure every family has access to pure water, better hygiene, and a healthier life

  • 43 water projects completed, 4 in progress.
  • 72 patients received full medical care.
  • 65 students supported with fees and supplies.
  • 1,438 families received rations, cash, and bedding during floods
  • 44 homes built for the homeless
  • 74 mosques and madrasas constructed.
  • 350 families supported with monthly ration aid.
  • 15 teachers receiving monthly financial support
  • 20 individuals empowered through small business grants

How did this come to our attention?

This came to our attention through the local communities of Chitral, where people shared their hardships with us directly. Many families were walking long distances for drinking water, struggling with poverty, and living without basic facilities. Their calls for help reached us through our field visits and social media appeals, and we decided to take immediate action.

How do you choose who gets help?

– We identify deserving individuals through local volunteers and field visits.

Can I join as a volunteer?

– Yes. We welcome volunteers to participate in our on-ground projects and awareness activities

Where do you work?

– Our work covers Upper and Lower Chitral, Drosh, Buner, and other northern areas of Pakistan.

How can I donate?

-Donations can be made directly through our website. Every rupee is used for the welfare of people in need.

 

Do you charge administrative fees?

What percentage of my donation goes towards programs?

– One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to our welfare programs. We do not deduct any administrative or salary costs from public contributions. Every rupee you donate is used for the projects that reach deserving families, patients, students, and communities in need.

What’s your goal?

– Our goal is to serve humanity with sincerity and action. We aim to provide clean water, education, healthcare, housing, and livelihood opportunities to the poor and needy. Through these efforts, we want to build a self-reliant, educated, and compassionate society where no one is left helpless.

Updates

Ongoing Water Projects

We are currently working on four new water supply schemes in remote villages of Chitral. These projects aim to provide clean and safe drinking water to hundreds of families who still rely on distant sources.

Flood Rehabilitation 2025

Our team is actively rebuilding homes in Buner and other northern areas hit by flash floods. Families who lost everything are being resettled with new shelters, ration packages, and financial aid.

 

Mosque and Madrasa Construction

Four new mosques and madrasas are under construction in poor villages. These projects will provide proper spaces for prayer and religious learning for children and elders.

Rozgar Scheme Expansion

We have added ten more beneficiaries under our employment program. Tools, sewing machines, and startup support are being provided to help them earn with dignity.

Education Support

Twenty new students have been added to our sponsorship list this year. We continue to pay fees and supply materials to help them continue their education without interruption.

Monthly Family Assistance

Sixteen families are receiving regular monthly support in the form of cash and rations to help them manage their basic household needs.

Seasonal Packages

Our Ramadan and winter packages are being prepared for distribution. These include food items, blankets, and clothing for widows, orphans, and low-income families.
